The Air Jordan XIV, 1998, by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, was inspired by the Ferrari 550 M that Michael Jordan owned, carries 14 Jumpman logos, seven per shoe, and the Last Shot colourway is the pair he wore for the game winner in the 1998 Finals

Tinker Hatfield, quoted verbatim: "The Air Jordan 14 was inspired by his Ferrari, a powerful race car that doesn't sacrifice grace and beauty." The post quotes the second half of that sentence exactly and adds nothing. Hatfield also said Jordan "saw himself in it, almost like a metaphor or a symbol of his game"
